Youngstown DORA

• You will see signs along the DORA boundaries letting you know when you are entering or leaving the DORA zone.
• Once inside the DORA, you can buy a drink from any business with a  GREEN  sticker on their door or window, which indicates that they sell DORA beverages.
• DORA-participating businesses will wristband you and serve your drink in a special DORA cup, which allows you to roam around within the DORA area or enter businesses with a  YELLOW  sticker, indicating that DORA drinks are allowed inside their establishment.
• You must recycle your DORA cup in one of the many recycling bins nearby before entering another liquor establishment.
• DORA drinks are not permitted outside the DORA or inside businesses with a  RED  sticker.
• Keep your eyes out for the “Now entering/leaving DORA” signs or save the DORA map (PDF) and you’ll be fine!

• Youngstown’s DORA generally begins on West Commerce Street, between its intersections with North Hazel St and Wick Ave, and extends south, past West Front Street, between South Hazel Street and Market Street, encompassing the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheater. These are only general guidelines as several parts of the DORA end before or extend past the Hazel and Wick/Market partitions.
• The DORA zone includes all sidewalks within or bordering boundaries.
• Pedestrian signs indicate when you are entering or leaving the DORA.
• No alcohol is permitted outside the DORA at any time.

1. Only alcoholic beverages purchased at a business within DORA boundaries and served in a DORA cup are permitted.
2. Each person with a DORA beverage must have a DORA wristband provided by the restaurant/bar.
3. Other businesses may choose whether to allow DORA beverages inside their establishment.
4. DORA cups are to be recylced/disposed of upon entering another bar/restaurant or non-participating establishment.
5. DORA beverages cannot be taken outside of the DORA boundaries. Watch for DORA signage, and dispose of your cup before leaving the boundary.
6. The DORA is currently only active 4 PM to 11 PM, Thursdays and Fridays, and 12 PM to 11 PM on Saturdays.

The first day for the DORA will be Friday, December 6, 2024.

• Sunday through Wednesday: No DORA
• Thursday and Friday: 4 PM to 11 PM
• Saturday: 12 PM to 11 PM
• DORA will also be active during special Downtown events.

These days and/or hours may change in the future. The City of Youngstown reserves the right to suspend the DORA at any time and for any reason.
