The Parks & Recreation Department has partnered with CivicRec, a provider of online parks and recreation management software solutions, to offer online facility reservations and membership purchases.

Summer Day Camp

This FREE program for children ages 5 - 17 operates weekdays from mid-June to mid-August at select City park locations. Activities, sports, field trips, and FREE breakfast and lunch are offered in a safe, adult-supervised environment.

Quarterly Sports Programs

Sponsored by the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Court, the Community Initiative to Reduce Violence (CIRV), and the City Parks & Recreation Department, FREE, weekend, co-ed sports programs for Mahoning County children, grades 3 - 6, are offered throughout the year. Children must obtain referrals from their schools in order to participate.

While homeowners are responsible for the trees on their property, trees located between the sidewalk and curb (devil strip) are maintained by the Parks & Recreation Department.

NOTE: Problem trees that have overhead power lines running through them must first be checked by Ohio Edison. The Park Department is not permitted to cut and/or trim these trees, due to safety concerns. If this situation exists, please contact Ohio Edison at (800) 633-4766 for assistance.
