The Downtown Youngstown Ambassador Program, launched in September 2025, was created to support local businesses, welcome visitors, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents. Developed by the City of Youngstown and managed by the Economic Action Group, the program is a direct outcome of community feedback collected through the Downtown Youngstown Strategic Plan.
Ambassadors play a key role in maintaining a safe and welcoming Downtown by providing litter cleanup, offering directions, assisting with parking, providing safety escorts, and sharing recommendations with visitors. Their schedules align with DORA hours and special events, ensuring support when Downtown activity is at its peak.
Community members can reach Ambassadors during scheduled hours by emailing ambassador@eagworks.org. During their shifts, Ambassadors can be recognized by their blue polos or outerwear.
